Open Category (​open to all Eligible Entrants aged 18+ at the time of the festival, please refer to Section 3 of the T&C's). To be eligible for the Open Category, entrants must have turned 18 years old by 28th August 2025.
  • This category celebrates country music in all its forms.
  • ​Entrants may choose songs from these genres: alternative country, pop country, rock country, traditional country, indie country, blues & roots, Australiana or folk music.  
  • Open category competitors are encouraged to present their original compositions. 
Junior Category (​restricted to Eligible Entrants aged 12 years to 17 years at the time of the festival, please refer to Section 3 of the T&C's). To be eligible to compete in the Junior Category, entrants must have turned 12 years old by 28th August 2025.
  • This category recognises the very high talent of young artists.
  • Entrants may choose songs from these genres: alternative country, pop country, rock country, traditional country, indie country, blues & roots, Australiana or folk music. 
  • Junior category competitors are encouraged to present their original compositions.
